Day #2 - The Furthest We Have Ever Gone.

We got an early start at 6:30, it was cool but heated up fast. The temperature was around 97 degrees today and supposed to be even hotter tomorrow. Today we finally hit some hills, slowly getting ready for the big ones coming up. We ended up biking a grand total of 101 miles, further then any of us have ever gone in a day.
Today for lunch we stopped at an Italian Pizza restaurant. When we walked in the place was fancier than we expected, but there we were, all smelly and in our biking clothes looking like dorks. At least the pizza was good! ;) We ended up at Mineral VA today and are camping at a fire station. Feels like home!
Today's animal wildlife sightings. A bunch of rabbits in the cornfields. A chipmunk. A woodchuck. Two turkeys. Deer that almost ran us over. A great blue heron. That's all the animals for today.

Tomorrow's plans are to bike to Greenfield VA, which is 75 miles from where we are now. We are going to try to start a bit earlier to beat the heat. Thank you for listening and you may all go home now, Elvis has left the building.
