Day #4 - What Goes Up, Must Come Down.

Today we started biking at 6:30 heading straight for the Allegheny Mountains. When we were looking at the elevation changes on our map I was a little worried that I'd die..

But. We did it! We biked 32 miles up hill and topped the mountain at 3,200 ft.

It was actually easier than we thought it would be, but it was still hard. Going down the mountain we hit the top speed of 39 MPH. By the time we got to the bottom of the mountain we were starving because we couldn't find any stores along the way. It was around 2 o'clock when we ate lunch, we biked 7 miles into a bigger city and then ate a second lunch at Wendys'. We sat there for an hour in a half resting and planning what to do for the rest of the day. Mr. G and I were both exhausted so we decided to bike 8 more miles down the road and camp at a KOA. This leaves today's total distance at 70 miles, only 10 short of our goal :).

Tomorrow we are planning on biking 88 miles to Christiansburg.
We're both pretty tired so that's it for tonight's blog.
